GAF has selected a 147-acre site in Missouri for the company's newest asphalt roofing shingle manufacturing facility. This facility will be GAF's 14th shingle plant and its eighth with a four-wide laminator. This new, state-of-the-art plant will significantly increase GAF's industry-leading production capacity and enhance GAF's customer service throughout North America and beyond.

Granules — Granules are fine-grain, crushed rock particles that are pressed into the surface of the asphalt. Granules block UV rays from the asphalt to protect it from damage and premature aging.
Saint-Gobain will invest around $100 million to expand manufacturing capacity at one of its roofing shingle operations in the United States' Southeast. Construction will commence by the end of 2021, with the extra production capacity projected to be completely operational in early 2024.
